Hello Sans Souci Sailors!

We will be hosting the annual SSCA sailing regatta on SUNDAY AUGUST 2 at 11.00am, with SUNDAY AUGUST 9 as a rain date or a second, informal race.

Several of you have been honing your skills in recent weeks, and at least one contestant is hoping his new Laser will give him a competitive edge this season. For the rest of us: high time to check your rigg and stretch your legs.

We will race on a shorter course again this year so that we can have more races and more opportunities to win.

The post-race gathering and awards ceremony promises to be extra glorious this year as we have the beautiful new SSCA Community centre.

The second race on Sunday August 9, 11.00am, will be without any formalities to make it easy to participate and to just have another fun race. Details will follow in the coming weeks.

Finally, volunteers are needed to help with race timing and patrolling the course. Please let us know if you or a family member can help out and if you have a boat.

We will be hosting a sailing mini-regatta from 2 pm- 5 pm on Saturday August 6th.

After the event, you;re invited to attend a community-wide BBQ at the community centre dock (5:30 pm)
