Friends of Massasauga Park – seeking new Board members

Friends of Massasauga Park is a small, active group of individuals that work with the Ontario Parks staff to support projects that enhance the Park experience.  The Friends Board is seeking one or two Board members from the Sans Souci area to assist with their planning and activities.

Activities include trail maintenance and phragmite removal in the Park, creating projects which encourage eco-friendly use of the park such as the art and photography competitions and fund raising for park projects such as stabilization of buildings at Calhoun Lodge.  See the website  (https://friendsofthemassasauga.wildapricot.org/)  for more details and the Strategic Plan.

Board meetings are held usually thrice a year, and participation can be by phone if necessary.  Involvement through committees depends on your interests and skills.

If you are interested in joining the Friends as a Board member, and/or if you’d like more information, contact Nancy Christie (nancy.christie@utoronto.ca) or Dan Purdon (dpurdon@bmts.com )
