Flashlight Readers (Kids Book Club)

The ​SSCA​ invites kids in grades 1 to 6 and teens in grades 7 to 11 to our first ever kids book club:   Flashlight Readers! Our book this year for grades 1 to 6 is: I Survived, The Sinking of the Titanic, 1912. Books can be purchased at the Schoolhouse for $6 each. Get your copy and dive in! For grades 7 to 11, the book is Wave by Eric Walters. It is available at the Schoolhouse for $14. Then, please join us for our Flashlight Readers book club meeting: ​ Monday August 12th 1:00 to 2:00 at the SSCA, Frying Pan Island ​ We are very honoured to have the​ ​Canadian Coast Guard​ ​visit and talk to us about their work in keeping us safe on the Bay! If they receive a call, we may need to reschedule their visit. We’ll also discuss the book, play some games, and eat some treats! Everyone is welcome! Please RSVP at sscaprograms@gmail.com
