Mandate
- To oversee the stability and sustainability of the organization by acting as its Officers and leaders in the fulfillment of its Mission
Executive Accountabilities
- To act as the officers of the corporation and leaders of the organization in fulfilling its mandate and meeting its legal and financial obligations
- To provide advice and recommendations to the President in connection with new, difficult or contentious issues, with the intention of presenting policy recommendations to the Board
- To act as a conduit for members to bring forward matters for discussion at the executive level
- To deal with matters that may be delegated to the Committee by the Board
Finance Accountabilities
- To assist and support the Treasurer in the preparation of budgets and financial reports to be presented to the Board for approval
- To provide a forum for discussion of any material financial matters with the intention of resolving / researching such matters and/or providing appropriate guidance / recommendations to the Board
- To approve the audited and interim financial statements/reports/budgets before presentation to the Board for approval
