Mandate

To oversee the stability and sustainability of the organization by acting as its Officers and leaders in the fulfillment of its Mission

Executive Accountabilities

To act as the officers of the corporation and leaders of the organization in fulfilling its mandate and meeting its legal and financial obligations
To provide advice and recommendations to the President in connection with new, difficult or contentious issues, with the intention of presenting policy recommendations to the Board
To act as a conduit for members to bring forward matters for discussion at the executive level
To deal with matters that may be delegated to the Committee by the Board

To assist and support the Treasurer in the preparation of budgets and financial reports to be presented to the Board for approval
To provide a forum for discussion of any material financial matters with the intention of resolving / researching such matters and/or providing appropriate guidance / recommendations to the Board
To approve the audited and interim financial statements/reports/budgets before presentation to the Board for approval
