Environment Committee (Standing)
Mandate
- To increase the knowledge and awareness of the Association and its members about how to protect the water, land, flora and fauna of this special part of the Georgian Bay
Accountabilities
- To research developments in environmental conservation
- To act as an environmental resource to the Board and the Landscape Committee
- To present an annual Environmental Education Plan and budget for Board approval, aimed at educating and bringing new ideas forward to the Board and members of the Association regarding the protection of the Georgian Bay environment, including:
- Information and activities that will be of interest and assistance to members
- Information about other stewardship projects in which the Association may wish to participate (e.g. GBA initiatives, local Stewardship Council, etc.)
- To manage environmental initiatives within approved budgets
- To create and maintain an archive of environmental information
