East Georgian Bay Stewardship Council Workshop – Report

The Easter Georgian Bay Stewardship Council, one of 40 in Ontario, met on June 25th at the Parry Sound Museum. It was chaired by Eric McIntyre and speakers were Karl Schiefer, Randy French, Steve May (MAF) and Greg mason (TOA). Approximately 50 people representing cottagers and clubs from the Severn to French Rivers attended.

The impact of humans on the ecology of lake country and how comprehensive citizen originated plans for a given area or lake can be built to help different levels of government develop and administer Official Plans, Zoning by-Laws, and Site Plans to reflect the wishes of the citizens.
